Michael McGrath
Mike’s pursued new media communications and marketing since joining Apple Computer’s Macintosh Division in the mid 1980s. After leaving Apple, he founded an interactive marketing agency that developed sales and marketing tools on CD ROM. That lead to building websites in 1994 and eventually joining Sapient, a global IT consultancy in a business development role.
Social media sparked Mike’s interest in 2002 and he began consulting with social media startups and corporate clients on marketing, business development and product definition. Clients included Broadband Mechanics, EMI Music, AOL, BlogTalkRadio, Affinity Circles and MCC.
He was formerly VP, Emerging Media at McGrath/Power Public Relations in San Jose, responsible for defining and delivering successful social media communication programs for the agency’s clients including Burgerville, Nero AG, Guardian Edge and Unicorn Media.
Meredith Smith
Meredith is a seasoned public relations professional with extensive experience launching products and developing productive media relations. In her fifteen years in public relations, she’s built a well rounded track record on the agency, corporate and media side. She’s managed public relations for Acer and Intel and developed and executed pr plans for website launches. She is the former Public Relations Manager for the local NBC affiliate in San Jose, NBC11. Meredith serves on the board of directors of Pets in Need.

Stephania Panayotopolous
Stephania has a strong background in broadcast journalism, having worked for two of the largest media corporations in the world, ABC and NBC. She began her career in television production and later moved in to news and community affairs. She was the associate producer for NBC’s Latin community show “Comunidad Del Valle”. She also pitched the shows website and then produced it. In addition, Stephania also managed NBC’s community site “HomeTown” and produced it as well. Stephania then made the transition into PR to bring her media career full circle. She was formerly part of McGrath/Power and The Hoffman Agency public relations.
Stephania also works annually for the Oscars and Emmys. She received her Masters Degree last year in journalism and mass communications.
